Born in Detroit, MI with roots in both Atlanta and Oklahoma City, Iman Knox is a multifaceted creative
blending practices in fashion design, styling, and content creation. Her work explores themes within the African diaspora, namely, her personal lived experiences navigating her world as a Black woman.
The influences of her cultural background define the heart of her identity, making for innovative and unique translations within her methods of design.
After her studies at Savannah College of Art and Design, Iman formerly launched her brand, House of Northbrook, inspired by the childhood home that originally birthed the spark for her creative gifts. She utilizes a range of techniques in her approach to garment construction combining technical design, pattern-making, crochet, and upcycling.
Iman's work can be described as an emphasis on the encounter we have rediscovering self worth when we feel we've lost ourselves, and using that exploration to express who we are, unapologetically so.
